If You'd Like to Knit the Rock Island

under a watchful eye, join us on Sunday morning, April 17th at 10AM at the shop.  Our friend Jayne, who is a great lace knitter, is going to help us navigate the cast on and the chart for this beautiful shawl.  Please RSVP-- just want to make sure that we have room at the table for everyone.  As of tonight, I still have a couple skeins of Helen's Lace.  If you'd like one, please let me know.

Have you seen Jared Flood's new pattern, Rock Island? It's so gorgeous it's inspired me to knit lace in lace weight yarn--now!  As luck would have it, the yarn is Lorna's Laces Helen's Lace.  And as even better luck would have it, Lorna's is only a few blocks away and, AND she was there late last night and now I and Knit 1 have Helen's Lace in Grand Street Ink!!! as well as a couple other beautiful solids.   Knit 1 is open 12-5 on Saturday and 12-4 on Sunday.  Please call 773.244.1646 or email info@knit1chgo.com if you want me to hold a skein for you.
