Knit 1 News

Look what's new from Cecily Glowik MacDonald, and look at the yarn!  It's our new yarn from Dream in Color -- Smooshy with Cashmere.  It's pretty divine.  I've been looking for a project for this gorgeous yarn and, voila!  Does anyone else think this great top-down garment would make a perfect summer knit along?

We're starting day time classes in a few weeks.  For June, we'll have Beginning Knitting on Wednesdays from 10-Noon.  June 1st is the first of 4 classes.  $125 includes your teaching materials, yarn and needles.   Other classes are listed on the side bar under classes.  We're offering Socks, Crochet and Open Project in June.  Please call or email to register.  Class has a maximum enrollment of 6. 

Please, bring your knitted leaves to the store before Thursday, May 26th.  But the 15% discount is good through the end of the month of May.  If you want to know what we're up to that day, ask... and btw, in Knit 1 World leaves are all different colors and sizes.

DIY Spring

I think we've been really patient, but for those of us that are feeling a little restless and need something to do while we wait for beautiful, warm weather, I suggest we knit some leaves.  Come by the shop, choose something from the "lending library", pick up the free leaf pattern, bring back your knitted leaf/leaves and receive 15% off your yarn purchase.  Or better yet, sit at the table and knit your leaf right there and then.  If you prefer to knit a leaf from something you have at home, that's fine too.  Just bring your leaf/leaves to us before June 1st to receive your discount.

In the meantime we are busy planning and knitting our summer projects.  Think shawls, wispy sweaters, socks and even necklaces.  Come by to see what we're all working on and take a look at the new spring yarns.
