Judging by the number of you that request and take classes we guess that you probably have that same longing. We're really excited about what we've lined up for the next 3 months at Knit 1!
Beginning Knitting
Sundays 10AM - Noon -- May 13, 20, June 3 and 10
Saturdays 10AM - Noon -- June 2, 9 16 and 30 (no class on June 23rd)
Thursday Mornings 10AM - Noon -- July 5, 12, 19 and 26
This class teaches you the basics in 4 two-hour classes. Scarves, baby blankets and hats are some of the projects students have completed in class.

We know so many people having babies that we now call ourselves the Baby Blanket Vortex of Awesomeness. Now we are going to share that with you!

Short Rows - Wednesday morning July 11 10AM - Noon
Often referred to as "wrap and turn". This technique adds gentle curves to a flat of piece of knitting. Applications of the short row include sock heels, shawl collars and bust darts.

Finishing - Wednesday morning July 18 10AM - Noon
Make garments that look handmade instead of the dreaded homemade! Mattress stitch; how to weave in ends and how to pick up stitches in a neckline. You will need to knit homework swatches for this class.

Beginning Crochet Tuesday evenings June12, 19 and 26 6:30 - 8:30

Design Intensive with Susan Holton
Learn the art and skill of pattern making with experienced professor of knit wear design, Susan Holton. This 4 session class will teach you to design an article of clothing and create a flat pattern. Work through the design process from conception through finished garment.
Tuesday evenings 6:30 - 8:30 - July 10, 17, 24 and 31
