Here you are, the Knitting Saint. You've spent the last 6 months knitting for everyone from your best friend to the dog walker and now it's time to knit for you! We have new class offerings for the new year!
First up is Knitting Boot Camp: Socks
Tuesday evenings 6:30 - 8:30
January 5, 12, and 19 with make up class on the 26th
We called it Boot Camp but it's really more like a destination health resort (think Canyon Ranch) without the low fat food and the hefty price tag. A month long knitting intensive designed to boost your skills! Each month we'll pick a different knitted item and 3 patterns to choose from. Never knit it before? Choose the beginner pattern. Want to push yourself? Choose the advanced pattern! Not sure? We've even got an intermediate pattern you can pick. No matter where you are as a knitter, Knitting Boot Camp will help you get better. This class will be taught by knitwear designer and teacher Allyson Dykhuizen.
January's Knitting Boot Camp item is Socks! Choose from a beginner pattern, toe up, two at a time intermediate pattern, or more advanced lace and textured pattern. Tuesday evenings 6:30 - 8:30 Jan 5, 12, and 19, and if you miss one a make up class will be available Jan 26th. Class fee of $90 includes pattern, yarn, and needles, and you'll have your choice of yarn colors. Sign up now!
Sweater Club
Sunday mornings 10 - noon
January 10 for 10 weeks
$80 for 4 sessions and $140 for 8 sessions
We also still have a couple spaces in Sweater Club. Intimidated by sweater knitting? Scared of knitting patterns? Want to knit a sweater in the company of some super fun people?! Then this class is perfect for you. Allyson Dykhuizen will take you on the sweater journey. We'll break the sweater pattern of your choice down into sections, get you on a sweater knitting schedule, and help you every step of the way; from picking out materials to seaming your sleeves. Sweater Club will help you knit a sweater! We'll also be taking techniques from Amy Herzog's CustomFit and helping you modify your sweater pattern with your exact measurements to get you a sweater you're sure to wear again and again. Signing up for this class gets you 4 or 8 class periods of your choice over the course of 10 weeks. The goal is to finish your sweater by the end of the class. Winter session of Sweater Club starts Sunday January 10th and continues every Sunday morning 10-Noon for 10 weeks. Sign up for either 4 class periods over those 8 weeks for $80 or 8 class periods for $140

Beginning Knitting
Saturday mornings 10 - noon
January 9, 16, 23 and 30th
In this 4-part class you will learn to cast-on and bind-off; shape with increases and decreases and use knit and purl to make simple stitch patterns. During the 4 weeks you will learn about yarns and choose a beginning project. Students in this class have made scarves, blankets, hats, sweaters and cowls.
